The Garden Region’s highest point, appropriately named High Point State Park, is in the heart of the Skylands Region and where you can experience the best of the great outdoors.

Hike some or all if you are feeling energetic of the 72 miles of the Appalachian Trail that stretch through the Garden State. The Skylands Region offers some of the best outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, and camping in the warmer months and cross-country skiing, snowboarding and ice fishing in winter.

Major events include the New Jersey State Fair held in early August and New Jersey’s Biggest Oktoberfest held in early October.
