    Twin Centre City Break
 3 Nights – Cleveland & 3 Nights – Cincinnati

Days 1-4, Cleveland
On arrival at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport our driver will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your downtown hotel.

Welcome to Cleveland, Ohio – the rock and roll capital of the world and a vibrant Great Lakes city where culture, creativity and community collide.

Home to the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland also boasts world-class museums, a thriving theatre district, and a food scene shaped by both global influences and local pride. Neighbourhoods like Ohio City, Tremont and University Circle buzz with craft breweries, markets, and independent restaurants, while Lake Erie’s waterfront offers everything from sailing to sandy beaches. Sports fans will feel right at home cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns or Guardians, while explorers can escape into the scenic trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, just a short drive from downtown.

This former industrial city of 2.1 million people has proudly transformed itself into a friendly cultural oasis offering “world-class experiences without the world-class ego.” Ringed by parkland and set on the shore of Lake Erie, Cleveland offers Midwestern grit mixed with cosmopolitan pleasures; visitors can spend equal amounts of time perusing the city’s first-rate museums as they can downing kielbasas and brews while cheering on the city’s famous local sports teams. A good time can be had by all in this city that continues to evolve.

Cleveland’s signature museum is the I.M. Pei-designed Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Nearly half a million people come here every year to attend concerts and admire the artifacts that celebrate everyone from ABBA to Frank Zappa. But that’s only one of many amazing museums and attractions in the city. At the Cleveland Museum of Art, entry is free and you can see more than 45,000 objects spanning 6,000 years. And at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, bones, gems and a planetarium take you on a journey through Earth and space. Kids love the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, the Great Lakes Science Centre and above all, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Military buffs, head to the USS COD Submarine Memorial and tour the vessel responsible for sinking 12 Japanese ships during World War II.

Cleveland has three professional sports teams, so seeing a game is a must if you’re visiting during season. Have time for a day trip? Head down to Canton and tour the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Those who want to do more than just watch can bring their own game to any of the 18 parks that comprise the Cleveland Metroparks system, unofficially called the “Emerald Necklace.” Spanning almost 9,300 hectares, it includes 100 walking and biking trails, eight golf courses, five swimming areas, 22 kilometers of lakefront and even toboggan chutes.

The best neighbourhoods for restaurants and nightlife include University Circle, Tremont, Cleveland Heights, Ohio City, Shaker Square, Little Italy, Collinwood and Detroit-Shoreway. You’ll find everything from funky pierogi joints to breweries to farmers markets to fancy fusion cuisine made by celebrated chefs. In this music-oriented town, it’s a no-brainer to cap off your evening with a visit to the House of Blues, Playhouse Square, Severance Music Centre (home of The Cleveland Orchestra), or BOP STOP at The Music Settlement.

Days 4-7, Cincinnati
Today its time to bid farewell to Cleveland and say hello to Cincinnati, there are several way of getting between the 2 cities, either by Greyhound Bus (Approx 6 hrs), Rent a car (4 hours), fly )In-direct 3 hours) or take a private transfer (4 Hours) - either way we can take care of this for you.

Welcome to the Cincy Region - where Cincinnati's midwestern, urban vibrancy meets Northern Kentucky's southern charm & funky flavours.

Cincinnati, Ohio, is a city rejuvenated and, with its across-the-river neighbour, Northern Kentucky, is now so highly regarded as a great place to visit or live that Condé Nast Traveller ranked the so-called “CINCY” region of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky among the 23 best places to visit in 2023.

From the National Underground Railroad Freedom Centre - where you can learn how escaped slaves were smuggled to “free states” via a secret network of safe houses - to the original Sin City of Newport, KY, there is something for everyone in the CINCY region. The CINCY Region is where Ohio’s Midwest friendliness and Kentucky’s Southern charm are connected by the historic Roebling Suspension Bridge. It’s where urban art and street food meet green spaces and waterways. Now there’s a direct British Airways flight to the region, here are some great reasons to recommend a visit.

It’s a great place to relax, have fun and enjoy great food with a cool vibe, all washed down with a glass of something local, whether it’s bourbon (Northern Kentucky is the start of the famous Bourbon Trail) or beer (Cincinnati is home to numerous craft breweries). In fact, relaxing over chili (the Cincinnati spelling) and a beer is a way of life in Cincinnati. Chili parlours serve delicious spicy sauce over spaghetti or as a topping for the local “Coney” hotdogs with a mound of grated cheese. Another local specialty is goetta - patties of meat, oats and herbs, which can be enjoyed for breakfast or as street food - which are so popular there’s even a summer goetta festival.

You might be surprised to learn the CINCY Region has the biggest Oktoberfest outside of Munich. It also boasts the largest light experience in the United States, Blink (next up October 2024), when Cincinnati hosts colourful and eye catching illuminations.

And if the you fancy delving into local history, what better starting point than over the river in Northern Kentucky and a “gangster tour” in Newport, where you can relive the days of 1920s Prohibition, when speakeasies masquerading as outwardly legal restaurants and corruption were the norm. Over time, the bootleggers turned to gambling, running casinos, horse tracks and country clubs with slot machines, attracting celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, not to mention legendary gangster Al Capone.

Finally, the Cincinnati Art Museum includes works by Van Gogh, Monet and Picasso and there are giant murals from today’s cutting-edge artists throughout Downtown, while designs in neon dazzle at the American Sign Museum. Alternatively, there’s family-friendly fun to be had at Cincinnati Zoo, Newport Aquarium and Kings Island theme park or on relaxed Ohio River cruises. And, of course, catching a Cincinnati Reds baseball game is a must.
